“El matí de Catalunya Ràdio” is broadcast live from the Faculty of Communication Sciences
The program directed and presented by Ricard Ustrell moved on Monday 26 October to the Faculty lobby, from where it was broadcast live from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. The initiative brought public radio and the operation of a live program to the university community.
The Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) hosted on Monday 26 October the live broadcast of “El matí de Catalunya Ràdio”, the reference program of the Catalan public station, directed and presented by the journalist Ricard Ustrell.
The radio space was broadcast from the Faculty lobby between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m. and maintained its usual programming, which combines current information, political analysis, interviews and entertainment. This broadcast allowed members of the university community to see closely how a radio broadcast develops and to know the work of the professionals involved.
This initiative also contributed to bringing the media closer to the students of the Faculty, who had the opportunity to observe directly the preparation and development of a live program, as well as the necessary coordination between the different members of the team.
With this broadcast, the Faculty temporarily became a radio studio and reinforced the link between university education and the professional practice of journalism and communication.
