The Faculty inaugurates the exhibition “Leadership in Women: Women leaders of communication”
The Faculty of Communication Sciences opens on March 5th the exhibition “Leadership in Women. Women role models of communication”, a proposal that gives voice and visibility to professionals who have set a path in the sector. Promoted by the Equality Commission, the exhibition aims to recognize often invisible trajectories and offer students close and contemporary references, within the framework of the 8M activities at the UAB.
On March 5, the Faculty opens the exhibition “Leadership in Women. Women role models in communication”, a collection of trajectories of professional women in the sector with the aim of making female talent visible and generating new role models for students. The proposal can be visited until April 7 in the corridor of the lower floor of the center and in an audiovisual installation on the first floor.
The initiative, promoted by the Equality Commission, brings together a selection of women linked to journalism, audiovisual communication, advertising, corporate communication and other emerging areas of the sector. All of them have been invited to contribute their testimony in different formats, with reflections on the impact of gender on their careers.
The exhibition was born with the aim of highlighting experiences that are often invisible and offering students models that reflect close, possible and contemporary realities. The exhibition also aims to generate debate on the outstanding challenges in terms of equality and the conditions in which women carry out their professional activity in a sector marked by constant changes.
The opening ceremony, scheduled for March 5 at 12 a.m., on the second floor of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, will be open to the entire university community and is part of the initiatives around 8M of the UAB.
