Dr. Neus Vidal Barrantes has reached the prestigious milestone of 200 scientific publications in international indexed journals. She is currently also the professor with the highest number of scientific articles published in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. This achievement reflects a career of excellence and a sustained contribution to the advancement of clinical psychology and mental health research worldwide.

Dr. Vidal, professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has developed an academic career that combines research, clinical practice and teaching. After completing her PhD with honors, she has promoted several research lines and international collaborations, and has led competitive research projects focused on mechanisms of risk and resilience in mental disorders. She currently leads the consolidated research group “Person-Environment Interaction in Risk and Resilience in Mental Health”.

Her scientific work particularly focuses on the study of schizotypy, psychotic disorders and the interaction between genetic and environmental factors. One of the central lines of her research is the study of differential susceptibility to the environment, which examines how certain genetic and psychological characteristics may make some individuals particularly sensitive to both the negative and positive effects of environmental contexts. Her work has contributed to a more integrated and dynamic understanding of psychopathology, highlighting how everyday experiences and social context can shape individual sensitivity.

Reaching 200 publications does not only represent a quantitative milestone, but also reflects the impact and continuity of research capable of connecting theory, empirical evidence and clinical application. An achievement that further consolidates her role as a reference figure in the national and international scientific landscape.
