On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, the seminar “AI and Health: From the Classroom to Clinical Practice” will be held, organized by the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.

We invite you to the seminar “AI and Health: From the Classroom to Clinical Practice”, an event that will highlight expert voices from research, philosophy, and clinical psychology, as well as the student perspective, to discuss the ethical, scientific, and practical implications of AI and its potential to improve health training and students’ future clinical practice.

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the UAB is pleased to announce the seminar “AI and Health: From the Classroom to Clinical Practice”, which will take place on Wednesday, 10 December, in the Journals Room of the Humanities Library. The seminar will focus on expert contributions from research, philosophy, and clinical psychology, together with the student perspective, to address the ethical, scientific, and practical implications of AI and its potential to enhance health education and future clinical practice.

The seminar will be opened by Susana Subirà, Director of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology, followed by a case of teaching innovation using AI presented by Albert Feliu, Associate Professor at our university. The session will be moderated by Dimitra Anastasiadou, Teaching Innovation Coordinator of the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.

In the second part, there will be an interdisciplinary round table – a debate on “Beyond the Classroom: AI in Clinical Practice, Research and the Ethics of Future Healthcare”. The round table will be moderated by Sergi Ballespí, Associate Professor at the UAB, and will feature five expert voices: from the philosophical perspective, Xavier de Donato, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and Coordinator of the Spanish Network of Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence; from the teaching perspective, Albert Feliu, Associate Professor at the UAB; from the clinical perspective, Alejandra Misiolek, physician, PhD in Psychiatry and health psychologist at Clínica ART; from the research perspective, Rubén Nieto, Full Professor in the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and member of the research group AID4So (Artificial Intelligence and Data for Society); and, finally, from the student perspective, Clara Solé Reina, psychologist and student of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology at the UAB.
