This fall, be doubly protected

This year, the flu campaign and the recall dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 are being developed at the same time with the aim of reducing the incidence of the virus in risk groups as much as possible. Both vaccines significantly prevent people who become infected from developing the disease in a serious way, reducing hospitalizations and admissions to the ICU. For this reason, it is very important that the following groups are vaccinated against the flu and with the recall dose of the vaccine against COVID-19:

• People aged 60 or over.
• People suffering from any chronic disease, such as chronic cardiovascular diseases, chronic neurological diseases, chronic respiratory diseases (including bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis and asthma), diabetes, morbid obesity, kidney or liver disease, anemias, hemophilia, immunosuppression, severe neuromuscular disease, cancer, celiac disease, cochlear implant or awaiting implant, cerebrospinal fluid fistula, chronic inflammatory disease, and disorders leading to cognitive dysfunction.
• Pregnant women
• Staff of a health or socio-health center, who provide home care to people with a disease considered to be at risk or who work in pharmacies or geriatric care institutions.
• Cohabitants of a person with a health condition considered at risk.
• Children between 6 months and 2 years who have a history of prematurity (less than 32 weeks of gestation).

Influenza vaccination is also highly recommended in:

• People who are institutionalized or who work in internment centers.
• Teaching staff, forces and security forces, firefighters, emergency services, etc.
