As every year, the flu vaccination campaign will begin in autumn. As in previous years, it will be carried out alongside the vaccination against COVID-19.

vaccination campaign 2024

This campaign is aimed primarily at people who are at high risk of complications if they contract flu or COVID-19, such as the elderly and pregnant women. Vaccination is also recommended for people who can transmit the flu to people to those at high risk, particularly healthcare professionals.

The best time to get vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 is in the autumn (although vaccinations can also be given throughout the season until March). It is important to emphasise the importance of preventing these respiratory infections, since the responsible viruses circulate more during autumn and winter and can cause serious complications in some people. Vaccination is therefore vital to reduce the transmission of these diseases and to prevent their complications.

From 13 October to 10 December, members of the university community will be able to receive the flu vaccine from the UAB Healthcare Service. The vaccination campaign is available to everyone in the university community, particularly those at high risk of flu-related complications.

Vaccinations will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Appointments can be booked by calling 93 581 13 11.

The Healthcare Service also administers vaccines for tetanus/diphtheria, hepatitis B, and hepatitis A.
