Registration and arrival at UAB
Nomination (by home university)
Incoming students must be directly nominated by universities that have established an exchange program agreement with UAB, specifically for the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology. Terms and deadlines can be checked at the 2026/27 Fact Sheet

Registration (by the student)
After being nominated, you will receive an email with the instructions to submit our online exchange application at sia.uab.es (Mobility and Exchange\ INcoming students - Signing up and application form).
You should fill out the application with the same information we received in the nomination and within the official deadlines.

Application for subjects
Before selecting the subjects you will have to log in the pre-enrollment application (only available during the specific period) and upload the required documents:
- Copy of your medical insurance (except for SICUE students). EU students can upload their European Sanitary Card.
- Language certificates: B2 in Spanish, English and or Catalan. See our program requirements and limitations
- Document of commitment: students will find it at the site

By the end of June (1st Term) / beginning of December (2nd Term) students will receive an e-mail with information regarding the application for subjects procedure.

Enrolment
Once the course registration has been completed and validated, the enrollment process will be managed directly by the Exchange Office. Students will receive a copy of their enrollment prior to the commencement of classes. No in-person attendance is required to complete this procedure.
A complementary insurance (civil liability and accidents) of €4.02 (2025/26 year fee) will be included in the enrolment, which students will pay during the first days of the mobility according to our instructions.
