Since 2019, Qilimanjaro has specialized in quantum technology and superconductors, and in the next few years they will create the first quantum data center in all of Europe, in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona.

Next February 28th, the Four Years from Now, Mobile World Congress’ fair committed to start-ups, emergent companies, and investment, will grant the 4YFN Award to the “Best Digital Start-up." Amongst all participants in the fair, a remote evaluation panel selected the top 50 start-ups, and, from this group, they chose five as the 5 4YFN Awards Finalists. In this select group, we can find Qilimanjaro, a company located at Parc de Recerca UAB. In the scenario of the 4YFN they have been declared the winners of the 4YFN Award, and will receive a series of prizes, which include a digital trophy and €20.000.

Since 2019, Qilimanjaro has specialized in quantum technology; currently, the company is able to build a quantum computer in all its stages. Its differentiating factor within the industry lies in its ability to build its own microchips.

Marta Estarellas, CEO of the company, has expressed how the nomination is a great opportunity for international projection for the project. It can also help the European quantum tech industry take a step forward towards a definitive commitment to this technology. This is only attainable with strong European companies financed with European capital.
