Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management
The Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management at the UAB is offered at the University School of Tourism and Hotel Management. The degree provides students with the training needed in the hotel industry by combining lectures in management and administration of hotel businesses, catering and accommodation with specific and multidisciplinary skills.
The academic programme consists of sector-specific training, with work placements both at the university school and at other hotels. Students have the option of applying for work placements or continuing their studies abroad in order to help them acquire the skills and competences they wish to apply in their future professional activities.
Upon completing their studies in Hotel Management, graduates may go on to form part of the following professional sectors: management of businesses in the hotel and catering industry (hotels, restaurants, catering companies, etc.); reception, banquets and conventions, quality and customer care departments and purchasing and sales personnel, etc.; and designing, planning and setting up hotel businesses.
This degree is intended for those wishing to become versatile professionals in the hotel and catering industry. The ideal student for this degree should have the following qualities:
