UAB's degree in Sociology

The Degree in Sociology is aimed at students with an interest in understanding different phenomena associated with public debate such as culture, socio-economic inequalities, education, gender, immigration, social policy, religion and work.

The exercise of sociology involves a body of valid and reliable research-based knowledge that ultimately helps improve humanity on a global basis. To this end, broad knowledge of social sciences is offered, along with more in-depth training in social structures, methodology, research techniques and sociological theory.

The bachelor's degree in Sociology provides the training needed to work in fields such as social action, town planning, administration , research, market research, cultural management, etc.

The Bachelor's Degree in Sociology is of particular appeal to those interested in social life, conflicts and inequalities, and in human and collective behaviours. The knowledge acquired is that belonging to the social sciences and the humanities.
