Virtual self-training courses

From the UAB Libraries we offer you two self-training courses through the UAB Virtual Campus:

· Tools and resources to carry out your academic work: The objective is that you have sufficient knowledge and tools to allow you to select, evaluate and use information for your academic work. You will find recommendations for searching for information, the main sources of information, tools for organizing and citing bibliographic references, tips for evaluating the quality of the information, as well as resources for avoiding plagiarism and information on writing and communicating the work. This course consists of six modules. A maximum dedication of 8 hours is estimated. Sign up using the following form. · Zotero: bibliographic reference manager: The objective of this course is for you to learn the operation and basic features of the Zotero bibliographic manager so that you can create your personal library and prepare citations and bibliography of your work automatically. This course consists of five modules that contain theoretical explanations on the topic worked on and links of interest that complement the contents. A maximum dedication of 4.30 hours is estimated.
