Between October 2 and November 6 you can visit the exhibition "Jordi Sabater Pi: The art of Science" at the Veterinary Library, organized by Molécula, Network of Museography Professionals, with the support of the Museum of History of Catalonia, Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Didactic and Heritage Research Group DIDPATRI of the UB, and Cultura en Viu of the UAB.

Jordi Sabater Pi (Barcelona, August 2, 1922 - August 5, 2009), was a Catalan naturalist who is recognized by everyone for finding the albino gorilla popularly called Floquet de Neu, which lived for almost 40 years in the Barcelona Zoo. His scientific work is internationally recognized for his discoveries about chimpanzee tools, the culture of tribes such as the Fang, or for having worked with Diane Fossey.

But on this occasion we are interested in discovering his capacity for observation, which he considered the basis of knowledge. In the exhibition we will discover the Sabater artist, draftsman, photographer and observer of detail. We will see how Sabater Pi tirelessly wrote down anatomical notes, measurements, colors, portraits, tattoos or expressions in his notebooks.

On Tuesday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m., the Vice-Rector of Communication and Culture of the University, Virginia Luzón, inaugurates this exhibition, with the presence of Josep Oriol Sabater, son of the prestigious primatologist.
