Journal Citation Reports 2023

Data from the Journal Citation Reports 2023 are now available and updated with the information and metrics for the year 2022. You will find it in Web of Science, JCR section. Remember that you can access Web of Science from the UAB.

Starting with this year’s release, a Journal Impact Factor (JIF) is displayed for all journals that are indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, including the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) and the multidisciplinary Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). This change aims to level the evaluation system for all quality journals, including open access, specialized and regional journals.

Furthermore, the JCR 2023 release presents the JIF with one decimal, rather than three. This move to one decimal introduces more ties, which will encourage users to consider additional indicators and descriptive data when comparing journals.

To explore the annual JCR updates you can join a webminar July 5, 2023 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
