Dr. Vicente's correspondence has been digitized and can now be consulted through the Digital Document Repository (DDD).
María Cristina Vicente graduated in Biology from the University of Salamanca in 1971. In 1979 she obtained her doctorate from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. On the academic and pedagogical side, Dr. Vicente was a professor at the UAB from 1972 to 2000. She taught general zoology and arthropod zoology and assumed different academic positions in the Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Ecology.
This collection, deposited in the Science and Technology Library, contains Dr. Vicente's professional correspondence, with 210 letters that show us to be a reference in the study of diplopods, especially from the Iberian Peninsula. Enriching epistolary conversations with other international scholars, such as Jean-Paul Mauriès or Pedro Oromí. Likewise, we find letters in which he collaborates and participates in different international myriapod congresses.
