Anthropology

About the collection

The collections related to Anthropology, Ethnology and related subjects that are available in the UAB are mainly at the Humanities Library, housed in two buildings:

Periodical publications are found in the Journals Room, Building B (in front of the Auditorium).

The books on anthropology, ethnology, customs... are mostly on the first floor of the Humanities Library (Building L), with the call number 39. Other subjects such as the Study of Religions 291 or the Methodology of Social Sciences 303 are also found on the first floor. You may also be interested in Educational Anthropology (37.015.2) or Physical Anthropology (572).

In addition, some documents such as research work, books published before 1950, large-format books, leaflets, etc. are located in the library repository.

You can access the online digital collections through the search engine, either electronic books, electronic journals, databases ...

We highly recommend the John Murra-ICA's collection and the Harumi Befu's collection.

It is important to highlight the journals Perifèria ; REDES ; GRAFO working papers, where the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the UAB collaborates

We recommend a series of general guides to help you find the materials in the library:
