We will look into teaching practices based on ICTs when teaching art and visual culture. The orientations are based on a theoretical perspective of education based on Critical Pedagogy, Visual Literacy, Digital Literacy, and Meaning-making. The methodology used in this session will be a series of teaching examples which will serve to design teaching solutions for different applications in which the role of observer as well as creator of art and visual culture can be acquired. For example, work in broadening visual references, critical readings of images and the re-representation of images by using ICT resources such as difital collections from art museums, virtual art platforms, digital image editing tools, and virtual applications for socialisation through artistic works.
The conference will be given by Ana Tirado, lecturer in the Area of Teaching Plastic Arts Expression of the University of Jaen.
The session is open to the public in general and will also be made available on this link.
This video conference forms part of a series of conferences organised by the University master's degree in Digital Humanities and Heritage, offered jointly by the UAB and the UPF.
