This course is aimed at personnel from local and other businesses that are members of the Àmbit B30 Association. The different sessions will focus on subjects such as the need to environmentally evaluate social and economic activities with the aim of finding ways to reduce resource consumption and apply circularity strategies.

The inaugural session was given by Xavier Gabarrell, professor in the Department of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering at the UAB, on 3 February. Also participating in the session was Maria Valdés, Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching Innovation at the UAB, who praised the initiative for being an example of "the work begun by the UAB to offer continuous training courses applied to the needs of businesses and organisations". Vice Rector Valdés also highlighted that it was the objective of the University to offer tools for people in the business sector and local entities so that they could develop their strategic projects.

President of the Àmbit30 Association Josep Monràs expressed his opinion for "the need to create areas for reflection such as this course in which regional leaders are brought together to launch new projects that are of benefit to society". And he thanked the UAB for its collaboration in creating tailor-made courses. Also participating in the inauguration of the course were Francisca Blánquez, Deputy Manager of Academic Action of the UAB School of Engineering, and course coordinator Ramon Vilanova.
