Applications open for Pathways Autumn School 2026, featuring ICTA-UAB researcher Victoria Reyes-García on the organising committee

PATHWAYS AUTUMN SCHOOL

Applications are now open for the Pathways Autumn School 2026: Towards Sustainable and Just Futures: Concepts, Challenges, and Practices, an international training programme for early-career researchers in sustainability science. The initiative includes ICTA-UAB researcher Victoria Reyes-García among its organising committee members.

The Pathways Autumn School provides a collaborative learning space for doctoral candidates and early-career researchers from across disciplines who are working to understand sustainability challenges and contribute to societal transformations. The 2026 edition will focus on advancing a more transformative research agenda within sustainability science.

The programme is structured around three main modules: developing a shared glossary for interdisciplinary work, exploring the principles and practices of engaged research, and addressing crises, resilience, and transformation.

The Autumn School will take place from 16 to 20 November 2026 in Aussois, in the French Alps. Participants will take part in a five-day immersive experience combining interactive workshops, keynote sessions, outdoor activities, and interdisciplinary exchange within a shared living environment.

Doctoral researchers and researchers who completed their PhD within the last ten years (excluding parental leave) and are based in Europe are invited to apply.

More information and application details are available on the Pathways website.

Deadline for applications is 22 May 2026 at midnight (CEST).
