Ranquing ICTA-UAB

This represents a prominent presence within the UAB, as the institute accounts for just over 10 % of the total of 85 scientists of the university included in the list.

The Stanford/Elsevier's Top 2 % Scientist Rankings list includes research staff and members affiliated with the university across various fields of knowledge, including Giorgos Kallis, Isabelle Anguelovski, Oriol Marquet, Esteve Corbera, James Connolly, Johannes Langemeyer, Helen Cole, Samuel Nello-Deakin, and Umberto Lombardo.

The classification is compiled based on data from the Scopus platform and includes the top 100,000 researchers worldwide or those in the top 2% of their academic discipline. Developed by an expert team consisting of John Ioannidis (Stanford University), Jeroen Baas (Elsevier B.V.), Kevin W. Boyack (SciTech Strategies), and Richard Klavans (SciTech Strategies), this ranking analyzes scientific impact using citation data corresponding to both career-long performance and a single year.

To ensure fair and comprehensive representation, the evaluation is distributed across 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. The selection metric is based on the composite indicator known as the c-score, which accounts for the number of citations, co-authorship adjustments, and authorship positions, focusing attention on real and meaningful research impact rather than mere productivity.
