New ICTA-UAB / MIM Seminar Series "Critical Urban Health" at the PRBB building in Barcelona
The Healthy Cities and Environmental Justice lab of the Epidemiology and Public Health Program is organizing a new seminar and discussion series on critical urban health. The seminars will take place the first Thursdays of each month from 1pm to 2.30pm at the PRBB in Barcelona, as part of a new collaboration between ICTA-UAB and the IMIM Research Institute.
The series is sponsored by the BCNEJ Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability under the Healthy Cities and Environmental Justice research group at IMIM and the Cities and Environmental Justice research line at ICTA-UAB.
The aim is to promote transdisciplinary discussion and dialogue around current urban health and social justice issues. Organizers hope to promote critical thinking in a friendly and open environment, and to attract researchers from across disciplines to participate in these monthly discussions.
Each month will feature a researcher who will present a short opening talk on their research, which could focus on theoretical or methodological components of their current work relating to urban health. Following the presentation, the discussion will opened to engage in debate and transdisciplinary discussion on the topic presented.
