Martí Boada awarded the Felip Domènech i Costafreda National Prize 2018
ICTA-UAB researcher Martí Boada was awarded the Felip Domènech i Costafreda National Prize 2018 by the Unió de Pagesos in recognition of his scientific work and dedication defending agriculture as a key piece of environmental management in Catalonia.
In specific, the recognition goes to his vision of the management of fauna and biodiversity in the rural world and in the mountain regions for the maintenance of the territory. The awards were presented on Tuesday 16 October at the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs.
Martí Boada works on projects focused on the fields of global environmental change and biodiversity from a social perspective, focusing particularly on the urban system and forests. He is co-author of more than ninety books of scientific thought and dissemination. He has received numerous awards and recognitions.
In terms of wildlife management, he is a great advocate of carrying out a rapid intervention in the evaluation of the impacts of fauna in the primary sector, as well as regulating the number of specimens that mountain regions can absorb.
