ICTA-UAB donates its vegetables crop to social organisations

The Sostenipra group of ICTA-UAB has donated to the Xarxa de Suport de Cornellà and to the CNT the harvest of lettuces and tomatoes from its experimental crops.

Throughout the year, the group develops several experimental crops in the rooftop greenhouse located in the ICTA-UAB building, as part of its research on the implementation of urban agriculture. This week, 80 lettuces and a box of tomatoes were collected.

Thanks to the non-profit entity Espigoladors, which fights for a better food usage, vegetables will be destined to people at risk of social exclusion.
