ICTA hosts Doctor Jane Goodall

The celebrated British primatologist Jane Goodall will be visiting Barcelona from the 3rd to the 10th May to celebrate the Global Meeting of the Jane Goodall Institute around the world. The Jane Goodall Institute has chosen the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) as the platform for her visit, and the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals (ICTA) has been closely collaborating to make this exceptional visit of Dr. Goodall to the UAB possible. ICTA has collaborated in the organization of a Symposium on Primatology and Conservation, which will count with the participation of different experts and scientists of the Jane Goodall Institute in different African countries, gathered together in Barcelona for the first time, among which stands out Doctor Goodall, known internationally as one of the most brilliant scientists of the XXth century. Moreover, Doctor Jane Goodall will hold a conference open to the public in the Sala d¿Actes del Rectorat, on Monday 7th May at 18.30h. The conference is entitled ¿Reasons for Hope¿ and will deal on the more than fifty years of tireless work of Doctor Goodall in the rainforests of Tanzania. The introduction of the conference will be handled by Doctor Jordina Belmonte, Director of ICTA.
