The European Network of Political Ecology (ENTITLE), coordinated by ICTA-UAB, has launched the International Conference Undisciplined Environments co-organized by the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and the Environmental Humanities Laboratory of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. The conference will be held in Stockholm (Sweden) from 20 to 23 March 2016.

The conference is organized around 3 main themes: Decolonial political ecology, Postcapitalist ecologies, and Enclosures vs. Commoning. Keynote speakers include Kim Tallbear, Ailton Krenak, Catherine Larrère, Noel Castree, Nancy Peluso and Ugo Mattei.

ENTITLE invite submissions on any topic of relevance to a broadly defined undisciplined political ecology, including, but not limited to, the conference keywords mentioned for each of the themes in the CFP. Contributions are welcome in a variety of formats: academic presentations and round-tables, audio/video materials, documentary films, live performances (poetry, music, drama), photo or art exhibits, graffiti, and others. Deadline for submissions is 9 October, 2015. See the Call for Papers for guidelines.

ENTITLE project aims to create an international network of expertise in the field and to build a stable collaboration on Doctoral studies that takes into account the multidisciplinary training needed in this area. Political ecology studies the social and political roots of conflicts over access and use of the environment.

The project is coordinated by Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and involves 8 universities, 2 Non-governmental organizations and 1 Environmental consultancy. This is the final conference of the project, and research trainees of the network will present the results of their research.
