Anna Petit Boix (Sostenipra research group) - 3rd place at CILCA's Best Poster Awards
Anna Petit-Boix gets the 3rd prize at the poster competition that took place at CILCA 2015 - VI Conferencia Internacional de Análisis de Ciclo de Vida en Latinoamérica (Lima, Perú - 13 to 16 July 2015). She presented the contribution "LCA and LCC Integration for Supporting Decisions in the Design and Construction of Sewer Networks in Future Smart Cities", which was developed in the framework of the LIFE+ AQUAENVEC project (http://www.life-aquaenvec.eu/).
In this poster, the authors present a proposal to represent the environmental and economic impacts of constructing sewer networks. To do so, Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Costing were applied considering different types of constructive solutions (concrete and plastics). This is a first step towards an eco-efficiency assessment in the field of urban infrastructures.
