A tree recalls Jane Goodall's visit to ICTA

On May 26th , as part of the Jane Goodall Institute visit, a hackberry ( Celtis Australis ) emblematic tree was planted . The tree was descendant of the largest hackberry in Catalunya (Lledoner de Fontetes), already disappeared . ICTA researcher
Un lledoner recorda la visita de la primatologa Jane Goodall

On May 26th, as part of the Jane Goodall Institute visit, a hackberry (Celtis Australis) emblematic tree was planted. The tree was descendant of the largest hackberry in Catalunya (Lledoner de Fontetes), already disappeared. ICTA researcher Martí Boada, through the project Museu Europeu Bosc, provided the cutting of the tree was planted.

ICTA has hosted from 23 to 26 May, the Global Meeting of the Jane Goodall Institute.



The meeting was attended by over 50 people from 30 countries with offices IJG. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the overall structure of the IJG and agree strategies to implement research and education programs worldwide. The IJG Spain has organized the event for the second time.



The renowned primatologist Jane Goodall has recently been awarded the International Prize of Catalonia.
