ICTA-UAB researchers from the LIVEN project are organizing an Expert Workshop where they will discuss the draft of the MITECO's Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC).

One of the key drivers for the energy transition in Spain is the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC), which is in the process of being revised, and which sets the country’s energy and climate targets for 2030. The collaboration and engagement among stakeholders are essential for the effective implementation of the energy transition.  

 This workshop of experts wants to create an ecosystem that engages a diverse range of actors related to the energy transition in Spain. It will be a dynamic space that fosters collaboration and innovation by the process of co-creation where the stakeholders can identify the main challenges and gaps in the implementation of the energy transition policies in Spain, specifically focusing on PNIEC (National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan) and PROENCAT (Catalonia's Energy and Climate Plan).   

The workshop's main objective is to explore and analyse the information requirements of the key stakeholders involved in the energy transition in Spain. The workshop will seek to gather insights from expert participants from different fields involved in the energy transition in Spain, including government agencies, industry, academia, energy cooperatives, regional organisations, NGOs, and advocacy groups, to develop strategies and recommendations for addressing key actors’ needs in achieving successful energy transition goals.
