This presentation will consider the implications of polarization in the world system for climate justice movements in the South and the North. It will elaborate on how uneven development manifests as a threat to survival through political and economic vectors, requiring us to reconsider the role of national liberation and planning in the achievement of genuine anti-systemic climate justice.Max Ajl is at the Department of Conflict and Development Studies, University of Ghent, and an associated researcher at the Observatory of Food Sovereignty and the Environment, Tunis.
