Abstract If the 21st century goal for humanity is to meet the needs of all people within the means of the living planet, the Doughnut shows that right now we are far from achieving it. In this talk, Dr Andrew Fanning, Data Analysis & Research Lead at Doughnut Economics Action Lab, will present core concepts and tools to measure the social and ecological performance of places with respect to ambitious targets. He will discuss how creating such metrics can help make the urgent need for a post-growth economic system visible and compelling, and share examples of cities and nations worldwide who are applying them in practice.
