Speaker: Emmanuel Aramendia, from the University of Leeds

Date: Monday, March 18th 2024

The talk will present a country-level, primary-final-useful energy and exergy database recently developed at the University of Leeds. The presentation will go through the data contained in the database, options to access the data, and present preliminary findings as way as avenues for use of the database. Last, the talk will present an example of application of the database to net energy analysis and present key take-aways for the energy transition and for the post-growth community.

Emmanuel Aramendia is a post-doctoral researcher and teaching fellow at the university of Leeds (UK). He defended his PhD in ecological economics looking at the net and useful energy implications of the renewable energy transition. His research interests include the design and analysis of fair low-carbon transitions, as well as modelling of a transition towards a post-growth economic system.
