This master's degree deals with the most prevalent neuro-immunological pathologies. The core of the programme, contained in the first module (the longest), reviews available evidence in the field of multiple sclerosis, from the classic studies in epidemiology and natural history to the latest findings in the area of diagnosis and in-depth treatment of the disease.
The second module reviews the pathologies of immune etiology in the field of neuromuscular pathology, including the inflammatory neuropathies, the pathologies of the neuromuscular junction and the inflammatory myopathies.
The third module reviews other inflammatory pathologies of the nervous system, including the neurological symptoms of the systemic diseases and the infectious diseases themselves.
The course ends with tutor support for the Master's Dissertation. This tutoring may focus on the phases of development, implementation or analysis of a research project in the field of neuroimmunology, in which students apply the knowledge of theory acquired during the programme.
