A1- Anatomy and Pathophysiology of Glaucoma: Anatomy of the irido-corneal angle and the aqueous humor drainage pathways. Anatomy of the ciliary body. Anatomy of the optic nerve. Physiology of the aqueous humor. Pathogenic mechanisms of congenital glaucoma. Pathogenic mechanisms of primary open-angle glaucoma. Pathogenic mechanisms of primary closed-angle glaucoma. Pathogenic mechanisms of secondary glaucomas.

A2- Primary Glaucomas: Epidemiology and risk factors. Clinical presentations of congenital glaucoma. Clinical presentations of primary open-angle glaucoma. Clinical presentations of primary closed-angle glaucoma. Clinical presentations of normotensive glaucoma.

A3- Secondary Glaucomas: Etiopathology and classification. Clinical presentations of secondary open-angle glaucomas (acute and chronic). Clinical presentations of secondary closed-angle glaucomas (acute and chronic).

A4- Diagnostic Techniques: Biomicroscopy of the anterior segment. Biomicroscopy of the posterior segment. Biomicroscopy of the optic disc. Direct, indirect, and dynamic gonioscopy. Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy of the optic disc. Perimetry: white/white perimetry, blue/yellow perimetry, full-threshold perimetry, and rapid techniques perimetry. Analysis of the retinal nerve fibers and optic disc: HRT, GDX, OCT. Pachymetry and ultrasonic biomicroscopy. Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA).

A5- Medical Treatment: Ocular hypotensive drugs: inhibitors of aqueous humor production and enhancers of outflow. Mechanisms of action and adverse effects of different drugs. Monotherapies and fixed combinations.

A6- Laser Treatments: Types of laser: Argon laser, diode laser, Nd:YAG laser. Treatments: Peripheral iridotomy with Nd:YAG laser, Peripheral iridoplasty and trabeculoplasty with argon or diode laser. Suture lysis with argon laser and Goniopuncture with Nd:YAG laser. Cyclophotocoagulation and Endocyclophotocoagulation with diode laser.

A7- Surgical Treatment: Perforating filtering surgery: trabeculectomy. Non-perforating filtering surgery: Deep sclerectomy. Drainage implants: Ahmed valve, Molteno drainage device. Antimetabolites: 5FU and mitomycin C.

A8- Introduction to Research Methodology: drafting the research protocol, organizations and documentation for presenting research projects to ethics committees and regulatory entities, analysis of results and dissemination, and good clinical practice standards.

A9- Master's Thesis: Depending on the student's interest, it can be a research project or clinical case analysis.
