ECIU webinar on challenge-based learning
Description:
The ECIU, the UAB’s European alliance, is organising a webinar to showcase the evolution of challenge-based learning over the past seven years. The session will address the potential of this educational model, which fosters collaboration among universities, students, and external entities to tackle real-world challenges.
Participants will include Susanne Conze, head of the Higher Education Unit at the European Commission, and Timothy James Marshall, researcher specialising in challenge-based learning at the ECIU and the University of Stavanger, Norway. Experiences from the European university alliances CHARM-EU, EU-CONEXUS, EuroTeQ, and EUGLOH will also be presented, alongside perspectives from students and collaborating organisations.

'Veus', informative conferences at the UAB
Description:
Veus UAB is a platform for disseminating research in Catalan, aimed at promoting the language in a sphere where it remains marginalised and at sharing knowledge generated at the UAB. It consists of eight-minute talks addressed to the general public—and particularly to secondary school students—designed to showcase science as a driver of change. Those interested can attend the talks as a member of the audience; they will be recorded on video and broadcast online, and will subsequently be uploaded to the website and the UAB's official YouTube channel. They will also be available at the website 3Cat.cat.
