Summer Solstice 2025
Description:
The AmicsUAB association organises the Summer Solstice 2025 festival to celebrate the end of the academic year and welcome the summer season. This meeting seeks to promote community tuies and create an experience that can be shared by all on 19 June at the Torre Vila-Puig starting at 6:00 p.m. A special celebration focused on traditional Catalan culture, with several activities, raffles and live music, and the participation of traditional groups such as the gegants, sardanes, bastoners and castellers. The celebration will include drinks and snacks and will the ideal way to end an academic year in a leisurely manner, surrounded by traditions. The evening will end with a toast led by the Board of the AmicsUAB and the UAB Governing Team. To attend please sign up here.

UAB Refugee programme end of the year event
Description:
Coinciding with the World Refugee Day on Friday 20 June, the UAB Refugee programme organises an event to mark the end of the course with the programme's participants.
The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Plaça Cívica and will include the creation of a participatory mural, led by the Acaudemur group, through which FAS volunteers and young refugees will collectively paint graffiti. Art will be used as a tool for social transformation.
In addition, coinciding with this day, the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS), which manages the UAB Refugee programme, will publish a testimonial video of two refugee students who have gone through the programme, and in which they share their experience of arrival at the university, reception, challenges, difficulties and proposals for improvement.

Argó 2025 Awards Ceremony
Description:
The UAB will hold the 22nd Argó Awards ceremony for high school research work. The jury, chaired by UAB lecturer Jordi Barbé, chose the winners corresponding to the three first prizes and four honourable mentions for each category or field (Arts and Humanities, Biosciences, Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Health Sciences and Engineering).
The event will be attended by the students, who will go up to collect the award and give a short acceptance speech, as well as by their families and teachers. The event is open to the public.

University-Business Programme awards ceremony
Description:
The awards ceremony for the thirty-fifth graduating class of the University-Business Programme (PUE) of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies will take place on 26 June. Joan Llonch, lecturer in the UAB Department of Business and coordinator of the Marketing and Market Research Area, will give a lecture entitled "The diversity of cultures in Europe: what unites us and what separates us?" The event will take place in the auditorium of the Rectorat building of the UAB. Attendance must be confirmed by e-mail before 19 June.

Renewal of delegates for the 2025/26 academic year
Description:
The period for renewal of academic delegates from the second-year onwards will run from 15 May to 30 June 2025. All those registered the Census List must fill out the renewal form to confirm their continuity for the 2025/26 academic year.

Barcelona's Neighbourhood Plan: reflections and balance after eight years
Description:
The Metropolis Institute, which forms part of the UAB Sphere and is based on the Bellaterra campus, will hold the 4th edition of the Permanent Seminar on Neighbourhoods on 2 July. This day will be dedicated to reflecting and discussing the lessons learned and the challenges for the future of the programme. Promoted by the Barcelona City Council, the Neighbourhood Plan is one of the main programmes for the comprehensive rehabilitation of neighbourhoods in Catalonia and Spain. The event's programme will include conferences by Albert Recio, lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the UAB, who will speak on behalf of the Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of Barcelona; and Xavier Bonal, lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the UAB, who will speak as a member of the advisory board of the neighbourhood plan.
