Two UAB students (with 120 ECTS credits) have been selected for the trip with transport and accommodation costs covered

From 13 to 15 May 2024 the University of Linköping in Sweden will be taking on the “Build the digital city of tomorrow” challenge, with the aim of finding ways of building city that offers better digital services that can improve the lives of the residents of Linköping and the city of Enschede in the Netherlands. These two cities have a very long and close relationship based on common projects on different topics and areas of interest.

Over three days, 24 students from the University of Linköping and 24 more from all other ECIU universities (including two from the UAB with 120 ECTS credits) will work together on finding a solution to two sub-challenges:  1) How can certain life events, such as having a baby, getting married or setting up a business be made easier for the citizens of Linköping and Enschede?, and 2) How can the governments of these cities ensure that digital services are accessible and valuable for younger residents under the age of 30? After two days of intensive work including meetings with businesspeople and companies and group working with the other participants, the final presentations will take place and the winning solution will be announced.
