Rubén Medina, one of the actors in the repertoire, was a former member of the UAB Theatre Group and of the acting and the theatre creation courses taught at the University

The play, directed by Ramón Garrido, explains nine different stories of love and heartbreak in an imaginary location on a Christmas night. According to La Missiva, the company in charge of the production of this play, love becomes the main narrative element of these stories because its presence "is one of the things that human beings most yearn to find".

Next 25th of January, at 5 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy for free (limited to the capacity of the reserved space) a version of the original stage production by the North American actor and playwright John Cariani. Almost, Maine, defined by the American artist as "the dream of a winter night", was his first play that has been premiered on Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre. This play has been awarded several times by the North American critics for its message for life and love with different fictional stories.

"The difficulties and joys experienced by the characters allow us to think that love is a universal path that we all, in one way or another, want to achieve and, beyond genres, cultures or customs, it is a global feeling that is worth fighting for, even if we may lose the game", Garrido points out.
