Guides to writing in the disciplines

In order to help students and lecturers communicate effectively within their own academic fields we have produced the Guides for Writing in Specific Disciplines.
Each guide is published in Catalan and in English, with the necessary modifications. The following fields have appeared: Economics, Medicine, Education and Chemistry. And we have already published Escriure Biologia a la Universitat, Writing Biology at University, Escriure Geografia a la Universitat and Writing Geography at University. You can download the published guides from the UAB Digital Repository of Documents.
The guides are easy to use and each one includes a reflection on the communicative peculiarities of the discipline, a brief description of the text types within it, writing conventions and links to other resources.
New titles (about Law and Engineering) will be added to the collection shortly.
