This is the second edition of this micro-credential course. It is aimed at university students, graduates, engineers, and livestock farmers who wish to expand their knowledge of extensive livestock farming as a tool for fire prevention. The course lasts two months and features instructors from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Zaragoza, the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC), and the company AGRODIVAR. It comprises 18 virtual sessions and two in-person field trips. The curriculum covers topics such as understory grazing, silvopastoral management, forest resources for livestock, the conversion of scrubland into pasture, and socio-ecological aspects, among others. Classes will be uploaded progressively to the UAB virtual campus, allowing students to view them at their convenience. The field trips will involve visits to representative farms utilizing silvopastoral management; students must arrange their own transportation to these locations.
