Academic recognition and micro-credentials
How can I recognize credits?
Once the challenge or micro-module is over, you must follow two steps:
- Apply for recognition at the Academic Management (Gestió Acadèmica) of your center in accordance with the procedure established for this purpose (check it with Academic Management) and pay the associated fees.
- Send the email with the “. json-ld” file (the digital micro-credential), which you will have received in your ECIU email, to the Academic Management of your center.
Which is the maximum number of credits I can recognize?
According to the UAB Academic Regulations, you will be able to recognize up to a maximum of 24 ECTS in short-term training activities.
What is a micro-credential?
It is the recognition of participation in this experience. Micro-credentials can be added to Europass.
Students who have passed a micro-module or challenge will receive an email with the micro-credentials. In the mail, they will receive a PDF, an image and a document in “.json-ld” format. This email, together with the attached documents, must be sent to the Academic Management.
Atention, sometimes this email goes to the “spam”, remember to check it.
How can I create an account in Europass?
You must register on the Europass website.
Are only the challenges/micro-modules offered by the UAB eligible for credit recognition?
No, credit recognition on your academic record is possible with any ECIU challenge or micro-module, whether coordinated by the UAB or by other universities in the network.
