Are you fascinated by how materials behave at the nanoscale and are you eager to turn that knowledge into real technology? The Master’s Degree in Applied Nanoscience at the UAB offers you rigorous, research-driven training at the crossroads between advanced materials, functional nanostructures and device engineering.
You will join one of Europe’s strongest nanoscience hubs, with over 1.200 researchers and large facilities such as ALBA Synchrotron plus leading institutes such as ICN2, ICMAB and IMB-CNM. Advanced materials and nanobiotechnology are key areas, and this concentration of expertise is hard to match. You will learn directly from active scientists, work in world-class laboratories and get involved in cutting-edge projects from day one.
You can tailor your path to your background and ambitions, choosing between topics such as multiscale simulation, quantum and 2D materials, energy and sustainability, nanomedicine or advanced spectroscopy. At the same time, you will connect with startups, technology companies and industrial partners, thus gaining experience in innovation, technology transfer and entrepreneurship that will strengthen your future in either R&D, high-tech industry or further study in the form of a PhD.
