Official Master's Degree in Cytogenetics and Reproductive Biology
Master description
The presented curriculum corresponds to a specialized master’s program offering two training tracks: “Cytogenetics” and “Reproductive Biology”. The program, totaling 60 ECTS credits, is organized into two semesters and combines both theoretical and practical content.
Both tracks share compulsory subjects such as “New Advances in Cytogenetics and Reproductive Biology”, “Analysis and Presentation of Scientific Data”, and “Case Studies in Cytogenetics and Reproductive Biology”, along with the transversal course “Research Methodology” and the Master’s Thesis.
Each track also includes specific subjects tailored to its particular field. The Cytogenetics track covers topics such as clinical cytogenetics, comparative genomics, cancer, and radiobiology, together with an integrated laboratory. The Reproductive Biology track focuses on technologies applied to reproduction, developmental processes, totipotency and differentiation, as well as its corresponding integrated laboratory.
Both tracks provide solid training in research and clinical application, preparing students to work in professional and academic environments related to genetics, assisted reproduction, and biomedical diagnostics.
