- Knowledge and understanding that provide a basis or opportunity for originality in developing and / or applying ideas, often in a research context.
- That the students can apply their knowledge and their ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study.
- That students are able to integrate knowledge and handle complexity and formulate judgments based on information that was incomplete or limited, include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.
- Students can communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and rationale underpinning these to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously.
- That students have the learning skills that enable them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.
- Contextualise the specific competences and concepts of general psychology in the area of legal and forensic psychology.
- Identify the necessary sources information and use them in legal evaluations and legal psychological assessment.
- Identify the areas of application of forensic expertise and psychological assessment and analyse their function with the framework of criminal, civil, family and labour law.
- Use the adequate techniques and methodologies for the production and defence of legal reports.
- Apply and compare techniques for forensic psychological evaluation.
- Apply specific legal rulings and act with ethical and professional responsibility in the forensic psychology practice.
- Organise and analyse the psychological information available with a view to assessing legal processes.
For Master’s degrees the UAB treats general and transferable competences as the same thing. Transferable competences are therefore noted in the RUCT application in the section corresponding to general competences.
