Official Master's Degree in Enterprise Law

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

The Master’s Degree in Business Law at UAB, with the aim of maximizing mobility among the different disciplines of Social and Human Sciences, in addition to Law, will also admit graduates from any other study in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, subject to acceptance by the Program’s coordinators.
Knowledge equivalent to level C1 of the Spanish language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required for students who do not have Spanish as their mother tongue or who do not hold a university degree issued by a Spanish-language university.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants be higher than that of places on offer, these will be allocated according to the following criteria:

1st. Academic transcript, with special emphasis on subjects closely related to this master's degree (50%)
2nd Professional experience in the area covered by the university Master's degree in Business Law (20%).
3rd. Letter to the Master's coordinator explaining the reasons for choosing this course and the links between the candidate's research or research proposal and the course (15%).
4th. References from lecturers that go beyond a mere formal declaration of candidates' qualities, stating how they know the candidates and from what date, the candidates' work and its quality within the field of Law, Social Sciences or Humanities, their interests and the relevance of these, and their potential for pursuing doctoral research or exercising high-level responsibilities in the legal profession (15%).

The Master's coordinator may require an interview, in person, by phone or online, if further information or clarification is needed.

Complementary training

Students with an official university degree in Law, Industrial Relations, Economics, Business Management and Administration, Accounting and Finances, Business and Technology or Aeronautical Management, do not need to take bridging courses.

For different studies, the Master’s Coordination may establish, after evaluating each student’s previous training, the need to take additional courses up to a maximum of 12 ECTS among subjects from the Law Degree.

The Master's coordinator, based on applicants' previous studies , will determine any bridging courses need to be taken from the following subjects within the Bachelor's degree programme in Law.

  • Labour and Social Security Law I (6 ECTS)
  • Labour and Social Security Law II (6 ECTS)
  • Finance Law and Tax Law I (6 ECTS)
  • Finance Law and Tax Law II (9 ECTS)
