The bachelor's degree in Spanish and Chinese Studies: Language, Literature and Culture trains professionals with a mastery of two of the most spoken languages in the worl and their literatures. It combines two academic traditions and two increasingly interconnected cultures, and offers multiple career possibilities in a globalised world filled with new challenges.

The degree will prepare you to work in a variety of fields: teaching Spanish as a foreign language, research, working with publishing houses, cultural management and consulting services to the linguistic, commercial and business sector, etc. Classes are offered by lecturers of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, a pioneering centre in Spain and Europe in the research into East Asian studies, and by lecturers of the Department of Spanish, leaders in research into Spanish language and literature, in literature theory and comparative literature.

Mobility programmes
The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting participated in Erasmus+ with exchange agreements in twenty European countries. The UAB-specific programme offers students exchange opportunities with universities in the USA, Canada, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, Morocco, Brazil, and other countries. There is also the Sèneca-Sicue agreement with Spanish universities. Each year some 100 students leave on exchanges and many more arrive.
