The GAD is again proclaimed runner-up in Madrid

A delegation of GAD has traveled this weekend to Madrid to this year's edition of the tournament organized by the Comunícate club, from the Complutense University of Madrid. With more than 40 teams, distributed among 10 rooms, the tournament had representation from all over Spain and the Spanish-speaking world. The representation of GAD had 2 teams and a judge, achieving great results by advancing the entire delegation to the knockout rounds.

The team of Malak Benchafii and Oriol Sala reached the eliminatory phase after obtaining enough points to be proclaimed fourth in the ordinary rounds and getting, by the hand of Oriol Sala, to enter the top 10 speakers of the tournament. On the other hand, the duo of Andreu Garcia and Horacio Lamela comfortably reached the final, establishing themselves as the third best team in the ordinary rounds. In addition to the runner-up title, the team was recognized as the 6th best speaker for Horacio and 3rd for Andreu.

In addition, Elena Núñez, attended the competition as a judge, becoming the main judge in the final in the novice category and panelist in the open final, also achieving great results for the Argumentation and Debate Group.

After returning from Madrid with these recognitions, the GAD has the batteries charged to continue being the spearhead of the debate circuit and to continue carrying out the regular activities of the club throughout the university community. This semester, however, the club continues to put a lot of effort in the organization of the Hispanic debate tournament hosted by our University to make it as successful or more successful than in previous editions.
