On 4 November 2025, the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) hosted the opening ceremony of the 2025–2026 academic year of the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession.

The inaugural lecture was delivered by Ms. Cristina Vallejo Ros, Dean of the Barcelona Bar Association, under the title “Artificial Intelligence: An Opportunity to Build the Future”. She was accompanied at the table by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Ricard Esteban, along with the programme coordinator, Dr. Rafael Rebollo.

The event brought together master’s students, faculty members and staff of the academic community, creating an atmosphere of great anticipation at the beginning of a new training stage focused on access to the legal profession.

During her address, Dean Vallejo Ros emphasized the need to prepare future legal professionals for the new realities that artificial intelligence imposes in the legal sphere, considering it a key tool for “building the future” of the sector.

Ultimately, the event represented a symbolic and effective starting point for this year’s programme, combining academic rigor and professional commitment, and opening from the very first day an updated reflection on law and technology.
