The UAB’s Equality and Diversity Service (SIDi), within the framework of the 2025 State Pact Fund against Gender Violence, is promoting a new edition of workshops for men in the university community — aimed at both students and staff — who wish to reflect on masculinities and their role in addressing sexist, gender-based, or LGTBI-phobic situations.
These workshops will be facilitated by the Fil a l’Agulla association, which will also offer individual counselling sessions for participants who want to explore the topic further.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, four workshops are scheduled at different faculties on campus:
- 21 October 2025: What role do we want men to have in the 21st-century university?
Faculty of Arts and Humanities, 14:30–16:30 h. - 18 November 2025: Gender-based violence within the University: new perspectives on justice and community. Faculty of Science, 14:30–16:30 h.
Open registration: https://lnkd.in/dWMBSZru
Starting in January 2026, two additional workshops will be held:
- Masculinity at the University from an intersectional perspective
- Tools for companionship, mutual support, and mentoring among men at the University
An opportunity to collectively rethink the roles, relationships, and responsibilities of men within the university community.
