8M is commemorated with the event "Parlem de discriminació"
The Faculty of Law hosted last March 14 the event in commemoration of the International Day of Working Women, in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology and the Faculty of Economics and Business.

"The fact that there are three female deans in the faculties of social sciences is a historical fact", Esther Zapater, Secretary General of the UAB.
The event was hosted by Manuela Fernández, director of the Office of Equal Treatment and Non-discrimination of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Other speakers included Susana Navas, dean of the Faculty of Law; Judith Panadés, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business; and Olga Serradell, dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology participated as well.
The debate was moderated by the president of the Equality Commission and professor of sociology, Teresa Sordé. Also, Esther Zapater, the secretary general of the UAB, gave a welcoming speech.
In addition, this act also highlighted that, for the first time, three women are leading the Faculties of Social Sciences. That is, it is the first time that three women hold the position of deans in the faculties of Law, Economics and Business, and Political Science and Sociology of the UAB.
