Last Friday, we celebrated the inauguration of the academic year at the Faculty of Law, in an event that focused on the major challenges of International Humanitarian Law today.
We had the honour of joining the lecture given by Bárbara Díaz Santis from the Red Cross, under the title "International Humanitarian Law in the Face of Current Challenges". Her presentation offered a rigorous and essential analysis of the role of law in the protection of people affected by armed conflicts and in the defence of fundamental rights.
The event was also attended by Rector Javier Lafuente Sancho and the Dean of the Faculty, Ricard Esteban, who highlighted the relevance of academic, institutional, and social commitment in creating a fairer world.
