The Faculty of Law Takes Part in DocèncIA, a Conference on Teaching and Artificial Intelligence

The UAB hosted DocèncIA, a space for reflection on the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence in university teaching, featuring contributions from Faculty of Law professors and experts from various fields.

On 16 October, the UAB hosted DocèncIA: a Q&A space on teaching and artificial intelligence, an initiative aimed at fostering debate on the challenges and opportunities that AI brings to higher education.
The event, held in a hybrid format and moderated by journalist Olga Vallejo, gathered more than 200 participants, including lecturers, researchers, and members of the university community.
The Faculty of Law was represented by Professor Santiago Robert, who contributed his expertise and perspective from Civil Law on the legal and ethical aspects of integrating AI into teaching.
Other speakers included Toni Espinosa (Vice-Rector for Digital Policies), Pilar Dellunde, and Íngrid Noguera, who reflected on the use of artificial intelligence as a tool to support learning and research.
The conference stood out for its interactive format, answering questions from lecturers submitted via Teams, and highlighted the UAB’s commitment to a critical, innovative, and responsible approach to teaching in the face of new technological challenges.
