The course The Profession of Heritage Interpretation Guide offers a comprehensive overview of the role of the heritage interpretation guide in both natural and cultural environments. It provides students with the knowledge and tools needed to develop a professional practice that is rigorous and aligned with the current demands of the sustainable tourism sector.
Through content focused on guiding techniques, heritage interpretation, activity planning and design, group management and safety protocols, participants will acquire the key competences required to lead high‑quality visitor experiences. The course also explores narrative resources and communication strategies such as storytelling that help connect with different audiences and create meaningful and educational experiences.
Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to work as heritage interpretation guides, leading visits in diverse settings and contributing to the dissemination, preservation and appreciation of natural and cultural heritage from a responsible and sustainable perspective.

If you complete this module, you can continue advancing your training within the Permanent Masters Degree in Sustainable and Regenerative Tourism or the Specialisation Diploma in Sustainable Tourism Planning and Heritage Interpretation.
